Building Homes or Extensions/basement egress window

Question
Thanks for your help. I am considering putting a bedroom in my unfinished basement of a townhouse in Fairfax, VA. It will require an egress window. There is already a small basement window present which is where the egress window will be placed.
Do you have specific recommendations for any type. Since economy is important which window do you suggest. Is there any other suggestions in regard to this type of construction?

Hi Carl, there are several companies that come to mind, some of them specialize in basement egress windows and window wells.  Redi-exit, Boman-Kemp, WelLcraft all have good products.. The Redi-exit website has all the code information you need for requirements..sincerely Bruce Johnson
