Building Homes or Extensions/Adding a garage and remodeling a tuck under garage

Question
Wondering if you see any real big problems with my addition idea.  I have a split level home with a tuck under garage.  I would like to remodel the tuck under garage into a living room and entry.  My exisiting tuck under garage's walls are half studed and the lower half block.  If I build a two car garage off at an angle from the exisiting house can I build a walkway/breeze way to this new garage?  Im really wondering about cutting into the existing block.  If you don't mind, what do you think a project like this would costs.

Thanks,
Scott

Answer
As rar as costs are concerned, I c ouldn't be sure. Your local materials and l;abor costs are sure to be different than mine. And, the walkway/breezeway certainly can be done, just a matter of time and money.........
cutting cement blocks can also be done. Just go to your local rental guys and tell them what you need to cut, they will have a great tool just for that!!
