What is the usual estimate labor cost for a brick patio 8x10.  In addition, I just purchased materials 2 bags Portland cement mortar, 10 bags sands, 80 bricks and to start the project next weekend.  Also will I need a building permit for a brick patio in the state of Virginia in Prince William County

Hi Trudy,
First your permit would be obtained at either your town/city office or a county office.

A good mason should be able to lay the whole 8'x10' area in a day.
It appears you are doing this yourself, and I don't think you have enough bricks. (if you are using regular clay bricks).
