Building Homes or Extensions/Flashing and Existing Brick Veneer

Question
Hi Dan;
How can I add thru-wall flashing to an existing brick veneer wall for a new roof connection?  How do cut-off any drainage to below?
Thanks - Dave

Answer
YOur roofer should have a good source for custom flashing. If you are doing this yourself, contact a commercial roofing company with its own sheetmetal department.

You need to counterflash the joint.  There are several shapes that will work.  These may be surface applied with a caulk ledge or sawed into the brick or mortar joint.
