Building Homes or Extensions/Nail size

Question
What size nails do I use to put trim around windows and doors? I have a air gun?

Answer
Nails should always be 3 times the thickness of the board you are nailing on.  If your trim board is 3/4", the nail should be 2 1/4".  A more simple answer would be to use at least a 8d nail.  I assume you are talking about exterior trim, and so assume also we are talking about nails that have heads and that the nails will be going into studding, not sheathing or siding.
