Question
I have built a 4ft by 12 ft shelving unit to hold lotion bottles for my tanning salon.  I want to at attach the free standing shelving unit to the wall behind my counter.  How can I do this without using L-brackets or anything else that would not be attractive.  I want it to look like it is a 3d mural. or a picture hanging on a wall, where the nail cannot be seen. Thanks for your help!

Answer
HI Ashley, at the top of your  top shelf you can angle some screws from the top down into your wall studs.  I do this all the time to hide my shelf attachments.  Basically, locate your studs and drill an angled hole from the top of the shelf at the stud locations.  Using a two inch screw driven by a drill or power screwdriver you run the screw into the studs.  For a shelf that size you should try and hit every stud the shelf crosses. I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson
