Building Homes or Extensions/Slab

Question
We are planning an addition onto a pre-existing slab house. The house is c-shape and we would like to close in the "c" opening. We are wondering if we are able to tie into the existing plumbing to add a bathroom and addition bedroom. The house is on a well, sewer is on municiple and the house is in cold climate area. Is this do-able?
Thanks

Answer
All quite doable.

A good plumber may tie the sanitary system into the existing if there is enough depth or it may work better to go around the outside and join the main line.  YOu also may want to consider a return line on the hot water or even a separate hot water heater if the length of lines will be excessive.
