Building Homes or Extensions/converting carport

Question
We have a concrete slab with a roof extension overhang. We want to change it into an enclosed area. The slab is about 2 inches off of the back yard level and the roof is very sturdy with skylights. What kind of construction do you suggest? Do we put a concrete base for the walls? How do you put in a door if you do put a concrete base?

Answer
Lani,

I need some more information to answer this question.  Where is the property located (for climate considerations and prevailing practices)?  I'm not sure what you mean by a concrete base.  Do you mean a kneewall, or something else?  Concrete or concrete block? Perhaps you could explain further.

Ideally, please send photos of the carport to info@majordesigngroup.com  if you can.

Thanks,

Steve Major
