Question
hi im hoping you can help me .. I have concrete step with a wooden railing the concrete is extemely rough .. I would like to cover just the top of stairs and platform with wood but not sure how to anchor wood to concrete.?

Answer
Hi Jeff,
There are a couple of options here.
You could use a concrete filler (at your masonry or bldg materials place) and use a stone to rub it in as well as knocking off the rough stuff.
Or, use pressure treated wood, an exterior adhesive and attach the wood with masonry screws. These screws will require  pre-drilling and usually come with a bit of the correct size. The adhesive is to keep the wood from any movement ansd therefor possibly loosening your screws.
Best of luck, and let me know if I can help further...
