Pink Studs,

They are color coded pre cut studs, either 92 5/8" or 93". The idea is to not cut these but use them directly into the wall. It's not efficient to cut up pre-cuts into shorter lengths.

The pink studs are probably pre-cuts. These would not be used for any thing else. other 2x4 would be cut for jacks and cripples, etc.

I just watched an episode of income property and the two by fours where all coated hot pink. they are not from being in any water bath this is not a natural color of any kind it is some kind of coating! Unfortunately they never said why and that is why I'm here looking for the answer also!
