Building Homes or Extensions/frost on concrete blocks in a heated garage

Question
Dan - I built a garage this summer (2007).. its has two brow of blocks then 8 foot walls on top.  I started to heat the garage (all insulated) about a week and a half ago and noticed there is frost on the blocks. most of the blocks are insulated with zolonite but i ran out and so did the supplier. one corner (the north est corner) has frost build up in the corner approx 1/4 inch thick. this corner does not have insulated bricks. Is this normal??  What can i do to prevent this.  I was thinkng about glueing 1 inch or 1 inch and a half foan on the inside of the garage on the bricks for added insulation.  Hope you have an answer and some advice.

Answer
I wish I had good answers for you.

In order to have frost on the interior you need two things: moisture and cold.  I think you are telling me the frost is down low on some exposed blocks.  It will take quite a while to dry and heat blocks down low.  If you know the blocks are empty (no insulation) you could drill small holes that would allow inserting the tip of a foam insulation system.  YOu would need to drill every block cell, but this can go quite quickly with the right tools.  YOu can buy bulk containers of the foam or , at least, use a contractor's type gun.

Here is an example of the bulk material:

I hope this helps.
