Hello i hope i have the right area to ask this question , i have a 1994 16 x 80 mobile home with 2x4 walls and a metal roof. I want to change the roof to a shingle style roof and wonder if this is possible? , I see other mobile homes the same size and length and type as mine with shingle roofs and wonder why they can have shingle roofs and i have a metal one. I hear the walls cannot stand the load but again i see mobile homes with factory shingle roofs that are exactly like my trailer except the roof , whats the difference? , anyone know? , thank you

Hi Chris,
If your walls are indeed 2"x4" construction, I know that they will carry a shingled roof,(having done them myself).
You say the existing roof is metal...is that a pitched roof or a curved one? If it is a pitched roof...go for it.
If curved you will need to make up some trusses.....
