Building Homes or Extensions/siding caulk DON'TS

Question
Caulking along siding ( overlap) is a no-no to allow the house to expell moister and breathe. Need your thoughts to convince a young and upcomming builder friend.

Answer
Hi Kenneth,
You are right (I'm assuming you're talking about vinyl)
and you can tell him "i told you so".
I'll bet he's trying to make the siding look less open at the overlaps, and thats commendable, but not a good idea.

Also, as a young guy in the building field..make him aware that ICF's (insulated concrete forms) are becoming VERY popular. Well worth getting into!

Best of luck,
Dave
