Bulbs/Planting Lily bulbs in the summer

Question
I just recently received some LILY ORIENTAL MIX bulbs in the mail. If I plant them in the ground now, will they be okay? They probably won't come up this year though, right?

Answer
If you plant them in the soil now, they will grow and flower this year.

If you live in the hot south or south-west, or in southern california or florida, plant them in a fair amount of shade. If you live in the midwest, us east coast (north of georgia) or similar then plant them in morning sun, but afternoon shade. In northern areas (portland, chicago, baltimore range and north) you can plant in full sun.

Keep well watered once they sprout.

Soak the lily bulbs for 5 minutes in clear water before planting.

Plant atleast 6-8" deep.

Expertise

Can answer questions about spring and summer bulbs: selection, soil preparation, planting, fertilizing, designing with bulbs. I can also give references where to buy the bulbs and how to store them. Besides the typical bulbs (tulips, daffodils, amaryllis, lilies etc) I can also answer questions about other geophytes, such as tuberous begonia, dahlias, etc. When to start indoors, light requirement, etc. My experience is in cool season areas, but I can answer questions about warm season areas if given time to research matter.

Experience

Have worked with various bulbs (spring and summer bulbs). I am presently an allexpert advicer on the lawn message board also.
