Bulbs/Stargazer Lillies

Question
We live in Northern Wisconsin and are planting some Stargazer Lillies. We were wondering if the bulbs need to be dug up in the fall, or if they will winter well as planted.

Answer
Mike,
your climate is much colder than mine so I will send you to www.google.com and type in "Stargazer Lilies" in the search box. You should have more than enough info from that search engine.Good luck to you. Stargazer Lilies are gorgeous and I have them myself. Of course my climate allows me to leave them in the ground permanently.I am not sure about your climate though.

For the first time since I got on All Experts as an expert 8 years ago I have never had a negative comment. But in my email I got one from you and can't figure out why. The Google search enginge I gave you  provided you with thousands of links for your climate and Stargazer Lilies. I am not in your zone and clearly state my zones of expertise on my profile,so I kindly directed you to a source that could help you. I can't imagine what else I could have done for you. Please let me know if I can help you in any other way. If I am mistaken and it is another Mike that left the comments let me know. My email is acottagegarden@msn.com. Thanks and have a great day.
