Bulbs/Stargazer Lily Care

Question
I have a very tall stargazer lily -- this is it's third year and it's beautiful.  However, it has become too large for where I planted it originally.  How do I move it and when?  It is almost October, and it is still quite green with lots of leaves and seed pods (I assume).  Any help you can give me I would appreciate.  I don't want to lose it -- this year I had about 30 - 35 blooms!

Thanks!

Answer
Pat,
You can transplant it now or in Spring. They are bulbs so you can split them up after you dig it up.Be careful when you dig and give it a lot of room around the plant so you don't cut into any of the bulbs that have grown off of the main bulb. When you dig them up just shake them to loosen the soil and carefully pry apart the smaller bulbs that have multiplied.Transplant them in full sun and water them and that's it.You should have plenty of blooms in the early to mid summer season!
