Question
Is mid May a good time to transplant daffodil bulbs? Can I store them in a bin or do I need to plant them in their new home now?I live in Colorado, dry and high.  Thank you, Cristina

Answer
Cristina,
The best time to plant Daffodil bulbs is in the late fall to early winter in your area. If you plant them now they may come up prematurely and spend their energy on the foliage and therefore the blooms will suffer. They need time in the ground for winter temps for bulb development. for more info on Daffodil bulb care go to www.google.com and type in "Daffodil planting times in Colorado". Have fun gardening!
