Question
Hello Laura... we found a bulb growing at an old house place out in the country...zone 6,  it looks like a lily of the valley type flower but the end of each petal is a little green dot and the leaves to each bulb are narrower than the lily of the valley.   Any suggestions or advice on websites where I could search myself would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time, Mary Carson

Answer
Mary,
They still could be a Lily of the Valley. It may be that they are finished blooming and have left seed pods. But here is a link for you to find out further info:

http://www.google.com/Top/Home/Gardening/Plants/Bulbs/

Just copy and paste this into your browser and click "go".
When you get there type in Lily of the Valley in the search box.I believe however that they are more of a rhisome type bulb.
Good Luck and happy gardening!
