Question
I am going to sell my house and want to take a few of each species of bulbs with me. I need to dig my irises and daffodils now before I put the house on the market and begin showing it. After I dig them, should I put them in a temporary bed (my dad has one available) or should I store them dry. If storing them, should they be laid out in the basement, in a garage, in a fridge?

Answer
Donna,

Go ahead and dig your plants and plant them in the alternate bed.  These plants need to grow and replenish themselves.  If this were fall I would say dig and store cool until ready to plant again.
