Expert: Eric Barninger - 8/11/2007
QuestionQUESTION: I am having the same affects with my plants. I did not know that I was to take the bulbs and left them threw the winter. They have grown very well and strong but I noticed that where the mother blossoms were there is now blurbs, I think or possibly new blossoms. I do not know because I am very new at this. There are about 6 or 8 where the old blossoms are. Do I cut those off and keep them until next year and plant them?? I do not understand. Can you please tell me what to do?
Thanks again,
Valerie

QUESTION: Hello again,
Are they bulbs that are replacing the old blossoms? Shouldn't I pick them off when the stem gets brown and place them in a brown bag after they dry and them plant them next year?
Thank you,
Valerie
AnswerHi Val
I think those might be seed pods, without a picture I can't be sure, If you could send me a pic it would help us bot out greatly......just leave them be but keep an eye on them, if they start to open pick them off and dump them into your hand, you might just have seeds come out.
