Question
Can you tell me the name of a plant which makes a neat little mound with clover-like leaves and a small pink bloom.  It blooms all summer starting about now.  It has a small bulb-like things at the base the stems.  In fact, when you dig them up they will be in a chain like formation.  Thank you.

Answer
You are probably referring to Oxalis bulbs (Shamrock). They usually produce flowers which are purple or port (port vine) but pink hybrids are probably also available.

Take a look at these web pages:

The bulbs used to be for sale by brentandbeckysbulbs.com, but I don't know if they carry them any longer (I can not guarantee the quality either).

Expertise

Can answer questions about spring and summer bulbs: selection, soil preparation, planting, fertilizing, designing with bulbs. I can also give references where to buy the bulbs and how to store them. Besides the typical bulbs (tulips, daffodils, amaryllis, lilies etc) I can also answer questions about other geophytes, such as tuberous begonia, dahlias, etc. When to start indoors, light requirement, etc. My experience is in cool season areas, but I can answer questions about warm season areas if given time to research matter.

Experience

Have worked with various bulbs (spring and summer bulbs). I am presently an allexpert advicer on the lawn message board also.
