Question
I have a stargazer lilley my husband gave me on Mother's day.  It has finished blooming and the blooms have fallen off.  How do I care for it and will it bloom again next year?  Is it strictly an indoor plant?  We live in Marietta, Georgia.

Answer
This plant do very well outdoors. Do not remove the stem and leaves. These are required for the plant to rebloom next year.

Replant outdoors in partial shade (afternoon shade) at the same dept as you received the plant in the pot. Water in well a few times per week during the first couple of weeks.

In winter the stem will die back but next year it will grow back and flower. Typically in late spring/early summer.

Expertise

Can answer questions about spring and summer bulbs: selection, soil preparation, planting, fertilizing, designing with bulbs. I can also give references where to buy the bulbs and how to store them. Besides the typical bulbs (tulips, daffodils, amaryllis, lilies etc) I can also answer questions about other geophytes, such as tuberous begonia, dahlias, etc. When to start indoors, light requirement, etc. My experience is in cool season areas, but I can answer questions about warm season areas if given time to research matter.

Experience

Have worked with various bulbs (spring and summer bulbs). I am presently an allexpert advicer on the lawn message board also.
