Question
We have recently bought a 9 month old English Bulldog. He is very affectionate and playful but has a few habits which raises a bit of concern
1. He hates the leash, whenever we want to take him outdoors for relieving and walking he literally grabs the leash or either frantically tries to find a hiding place. he has to be dragged outside and one out he uses all his force to get back into the apartment. How can we stop him from doing this?
2. Even though we take him out after every meals and otherwise, he ends up peeing and doing potty all over the place in our apartment?
FYI- This pup had travelled a lot before we got him home and had dealt with seperation from 2 or three previous owners before we got him.

Answer
Hello - Ok, he has had no training and needs proper teaching.
Get him a halti - here is the link for this type of harness-leash-
This will work great : Sold at most pets stores - Bring him in so they can help you get the correct size.

I know he doesn't have much of a muzzle.
If this can't work - get a chest harness fitted for him.

As far as the pee situation - get this boy a male wrap.  When you take him out to go potty take the wrap off.  When he gets back into the hallways or apartment, put the wrap back on.
Place a maxi pad inside the wrap.  HE will get the picutre after some time and you won't need to use the wrap.
Here is a link to a wrap:

This is just an example of what to look for:

BEST wishes - The male wrap is just to save the apartment hallways ... also, for inside when you can't watch him.
YOU may want to limit his water intake / controlled amounts.
There are even water bowls that let out a certain amount per hour of water...Controlled portions.

Good Luck
Keep in MIND - a good vitmin to keep him Health-
