Hi, Maria

My name is Jerad and I have an English Bull dog named Butch. He is 4 months old. My wife and I live in a high rise apartment. Currently we have butch in a crate in the living room.  Butch doesn't seem to mind the crate. We keep him in the crate because our roommate gets mad about the dog urinating and defecating on the balcony. Butch does not go the bathroom in his crate. Our biggest problem is that as soon as we take him out of the crate he pees in the kitchen, the hall way, and next to the elevator. Most of the time is in the hallway and next to the elevator. This is a major issue with me because I don't want my neighbors mad at me or having the building management trying to fine me. We yell at butch as soon as he urinates, but he does it everyday. For me it seems like he is never going to learn. I give him treats when he pees outside, but I don't think that is helping. Sometimes I feel like just caring him till I get outside downstairs. I don’t know that that hurts his training. Any words of advice would help

Hi Jerad - this is too much to ask a puppy. Sorry, living in a high rise apartment and needing to potty train will be a very hard task.  Yes, it can be done in time.  This boy may not always be able to hold in his water or poops very long.

Continue all you have been doing and add this:

Bad boy pants or the Male Belly Band.
This will be place onto him upon leaving the apartment and heading down to go potty.  As soon as you get outside removed the belly band right away and tell him to go Pee.
This is the only thing you can use to help.  I would do this method for at least 3 months or longer.  IT will work...

YOU can place a female maxi pad inside the band...wrap.
