Question
Hi Maria!!... I have a 1 year old English bulldog named Jordan, he is so lovable and adores other dogs and my boyfriend and I were thinking of getting another English bulldog to be his companion (not to mention we absolutely adore the breed) my question is: would it be better to get an older bully, around the same age as Jordan, or a puppy... also would a female or male be a better match? (we do not plan to breed)

Answer
Hi Nicole:  I would let Jordan be the big brother.  It is always safer to get a female... The will get along great.  Yes, get a younger dog for Jordan.  That way he will be TOP dog.

You can get another male but you would need to neuter them both.  TWO males can be a problem... If they are both neutered, things can be much better for the whole family.

Best Wishes... Yes, I love the breed too!!!!
