QUESTION: Hello,

I have a 5 month old;  Olde English Bulldog. He has been eating well. Just recently his been getting small bumps on his lower back and some red dots on his belly it comes and goes. I was feeding him wellness  before but he keep itching.  Now I am giving him Orjen large  breed puppy food but he continues to have  itching problem not as much but he would leek and bite his paw.
As of right now his been getting discharge from his nose and diarrhea along with the itching.

Reading from your last respond to a question regarding Bulldog Food.

Is it best that I try using Innova Evo for now? I like the all red meat Evo bag. What do you think any other brand?
I am planning to order NuVet Plus for him too.
Do you have any other suggestions that may help with this issue?

ANSWER: Hi Jun- yes, this kid has severe allergies to foods and the environment.  He is a bit young to do costly allergy testing.
Here are my ideas for your baby bullie!

Let's get this kid on a mixture of Innova Evo and Innova Puppy.  
You can do a 50/50 mixture of this food - When he is 9 months to 10 months old - go to 100% Innova Evo only.

Give this baby 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin - pure pumpkin - just for 1 week... To firm up the poop and add quality fiber.

Give our baby 1 acidophilus pill per day ( 1 billion CFUs) - place this in some cheese - hide it..
Do this every day - for 1 month.  After a month you can do just 1 every Other day... Continue for a lifetime... ( he may need it for a long time )  ONLY time will tell/

NuVET Plus - yes, this is a must for your bullie boy  - Let's start him on 2 wafers per day-  Make sure you give him 2 per day for 10 days. He can go on 1 per day after 10 days... QUESTION: Hi Marie,

Thank you so much for the quick responds to my question. I had taken “Chump” my 5 month old OEB yesterday to the Vet to get check out. It turns out he has pneumonia. That explain why he keep coughing and having breeding problem and vomiting. It had gotten worse yesterday so we had to take him to the vet. I think he got sick from the beach, we had taken him to the beach on Saturday and gotten very sick from eating I don’t know what.. When we were at the beach he vomited 2x and I think it was from the saltwater being his first time. Then when we got home he was very weak and the next morning all his poop was mostly beach sand. On Monday was when I notice him having runny nose, then I think it got worst from there. For his bumps / itching /and hair lost this were all very much before the beach. I notice today his bumps and coat has gotten back to normal after I stop giving him the pup-peroni dog treat. Question : Should I still go out and buy acidophilus pills for my bully? Where can I get that and what does it do and any particular brand?
For the NuVet Plus it’s pretty much just a supplement right?
For Chump his on Science diet can food right now doctors order until he no longer has diarrhea. After that I will go with Innova Evo and Innova Puppy 50/50.

wow, I bet your boy ingested some sand thru his nose...
Also, he could have aspirated some sand into his trachea.  This kind of dog doesn't do well on the sand because they do have a tendency to snort up the sand.

Now, the acidophilus can be found in any health and beauty section of Walmart, Target, or pharmacy.  The acidophilus will help his belly get back to normal.
Also, no junk treats...Just by some Innova Evo treats... give him very small treats - break them into halfs.

By the way, the Science Diet is Awful... But, may vets do sell it and they make a very large amount of money thru the sales...
