Question
I recently was talking to someone and they had mentioned about a gland in the English Bulldogs rear that you have to wipe so that they do not begin to stink. Is this true or not?

Answer
Hello Adri:  Yes, the anal gland needs to be expressed.  You need to have the vet show you how to do this.  Many times it is very hard to do this proceedure without a vet's help.

Have the vet do it the first time.  Then, you can learn how or just visit the vet 2-3 x per year for this service.

If you can't do it don't worry.... Many people don't like to express the glands.
