Question
Hi I have a 1 year old- Old English Bulldog.  I have tried many different dog foods- Royal Canin, Nutro, Natures Choice, Wellness and he was on Iams when we first got him (he was 6 months old).  He either vomits many times a day, has bad diarrhea, itches all the time, licks his paws all the time and or sheds major- he has many of these symptoms at the same time.  I have been making him homemade dog food-mainly beef- since we thought he was allergic to chicken- veggies, fruits, brown rice, and oatmeal.  He has always had this green puss that comes out of his penis.  So I have a few questions- any other dog food I should try- what could he be allergic to?  And what is the green puss that he leaves all over  my floor?  And now he has started to urinate in the house- he has not had any problems for at least 5 months!!!  Thanks for all your help- Niki

Answer
Niki- Poor Bullie!
Have you talked to the vet about the drainage from his penis.  This is normal as long as it is not an over abundance of drainage.  The colors can be white, yellow or slightly greenish to clear.  If the area is wet and hits the air it can turn colors.  Just get some baby wipes and clean  his penis 2-3 x per day.
Call your vet for a culture if it gets very green and the tip of the penis becomes red and hot.

Next, Yes, this boy has some Major allergies to his environment and foods.  How about we make some changes:  I will stick with you and you can give me weekly reports on his progress:
Here goes:

1. Let's put this kid on Innova EVO - this is a grain free formual -ONLY meats... Excellent and worth a try.  The first 2 foods you mentioned were not good at all : Iams, Royal Canine, and Nutro all have too many fillers for this kid.
Please mix his Innova Evo with the food you are using now.  Do a 50/50 mix of the two foods x 1 month.  AFTER the month go to 100% Innova Evo.  Inova Evo is very condensed and you will feed him less.
Give him a little less than the instructions give for his weight.

2.  Let's get this boy onto some pumpkin - Canned pure pumpkin - 1/8 of a cup per day for this bullie.  Do this every day - After a month go to every other day of the canned pumpkin.

3.  *** 2 x per day give your boy Tagament 200 mg , ( only 100 mg 2 x per day) see below:

YOU can find this:( human section of the Walmart or Target stores)
***
Please note::::
( I want you to break up this pill 1/2 pill in the am and 1/2 pill in the Pm)- put in a small piece of cheese ----HIDE it.
Don't skip this - He has a very acidic belly

4. Your boy needs NuVET Plus - This is a digestive supplement and Immune System Booster - Please give him one wafer per day.
This will cost you about .55 cents per day - Please call tomorrow and order NuVET Plus 90 wafers every 3 months.  Go onto auto ship and get 15% off of each order.  YOU must use order code 81098, they can't sell to the public without this breeder's code.
1-800-474-7044
http://www.nuvet.com/81098
NuVET is guaranteed to help his belly and skin / OR your money back -
This reduces or even cures pets with allergies and hot spots.
NuVET is NOT sold in any stores...

5.  Last, I want you to start him on some Lactobacillus acidophilus-
Give him around 200 mg per day -  Just one tablet per day - YOU can find this in the Health and Beauty section at Walmart or Target/ human section...not pets.... I am sure this kid has systemic yeast through his blood.  This will do the trick for his skin and his belly. He will need this for a long time.

Now, I want you to get everything together and then e-mail me - We will walk thru this together each week for the next month or two.
I know this is a lot but it has to be done.  This kid is a major mess.  One of the worst situations I have heard about in along time.

As for the urination in the house????  He could have a infection in his bladder.  Also, an overgrowth of yeast in his body can cause this too.
