Bulldogs/Bald Spot on 9 month old English Bulldog

Question
My 9 month old female English bulldog just went through her first heat. We noticed a small penny sized bald spot on her side about a week ago right around the time she was finishing her bleeding. We've been keeping an eye on it- and it doesn't look any better or any worse. It looks a like her skin is a little dry and dark pink. It now looks like she's developing more balding around her inner thighs. The balding areas don't seem to be bothering her. We plan on taking her to the vet this weekend. Could it be hormonal? Or some sort of mite?

Answer
Hi Cynthia-  YOUR english girl could have allergies, or possible mange.  Yes, take her to the vet.. If she has allergies, please let me know because I can help with supplements..

Best Wishes - I sure your vet will figure it out!
