Question
I just adopted a Pit bull. He is very sweet to other dogs and people but my girlfriend and many other friends have cats. I was careful before adopting him to have the people at the shelter introduce him to cats and he virtually ignored them. However, my girlfriends cat swiped and hissed at him and he decided he wanted to kill it. So I am desperate to know what to do. This problem will certainly seclude the both of us from most of the people in my life in many aspects. Anyone who can offer some good advice, I would greatly appreciate it!
Hello - Well, you can train him to tolerate cats if he is young. If he is older he will look at cats as prey... He will want to eat them..Sorry
Please take the question over to our behavior Experts.... they may be able to help better than I.
For now, make sure the cat has a safe place to escape to.
