Question
QUESTION: I just purchased an 11 week old english bulldog and i feel so over protective. Is letting him play in the grass and around other dogs bad for him? I've heard i have to be so careful with him that im affraid to let him do anything. thanks for your help!

ANSWER: Jeremy - I understand your concern about germs and his low immune system.  YOU need to be careful with him getting around other dog's poops... As you know, some bacterias are deadly to a new puppy.

Keep him in a certain area for potty breaks.  Try not to take him to place such as Dog Parks ...until he is over 6 months old.
Take him to places that don't frequent too many canines.

As for his immune system - please make sure he is taking a good supplement and eating a good food:
I refer all my clients to the following foods :
Innova Pup, Wellness PUP, or Solid Gold PUP.... All found in the local pet store.

I love English Bullies!!!! see my web site for two boys:

OH, one more thing: NuVET PLUS is a must for this bullie boy!
It will help to build his immune system and protect him.
WE have thousands of Bullies on NuVET Plus each day - ONLY about .55 cents per day....
KEEPS the vet away/ A health pet MEANS less visits to the vet office.

QUESTION: hey marie your two bullie boys were awesome! hope my guy gets that cute. He's been with us for a week now but i noticed his appetite has declined. I was reading that i should be putting yogurt or honey on his food everyday. Or maybe he is still getting used to us.I took him to the vet for a checkup but the vet wasnt very knowledgable about bullies. Any advice is greatly appreciated. thanks again marie!

Answer
Hi Jeremey-  Well, I would add some canned pumpkin to his diet.  I like that much better than honey.  Get the kind with the No added sugar - pure canned pumpkin.
Give him 2 tablespoons per day - 1 in the am and 1 in the afternoon... No evening because it is too much fiber - ( you don't want him to poop at 2 am)

Make sure you are giving him a quality food brand.  Let me know if you need help with food or any supplements..

BEST wishes to you two!!!
