Question
QUESTION: I have a english bulldog puppy male he is 8 months an  weighs 42lbs. Is this normal? How much should I be feeding him a day? right now he eats 3 and a half cups a day I think it should be more I just want too know how much more because he still looks hungry after he eats? please advise

ANSWER: Hi J....  Your bullie boy may be just fine!  Next time he is in for a vet visit talk to the vet about your concerns.
I believe you can feed your boy a little more.
What brand are you feeding him and flavor?
Any vitamins or supplements for your boy?
Has he been healthy?

Sorry so many questions.
Talk to you soon!

QUESTION: yes he has been healthy. I just wanted to know for his age how he was doing weight wise. Do you have any suggestions for types of food? He is not taking any vitamins or supplements. When he goes to the vet they say he is doing great just wanted to hear for someone else opinion

Answer
Sure, I can make some suggestions on a good bullie vitamin and food:
Here is what I offer many of my English bulldog clients;
I have hundreds of them...

Dog Food choices:  **( He can be on adult food at 10 months of age or 9 months....)

*** this dog food would only be found at a pet store/
If you can't find Innova Evo  Or Wellness Core then how about Merrick ( grain free) formula...

Here is a link to some very good Grain free dog food:

http://search.onlynaturalpet.com/search.aspx?searchterms=grain-free-dog-food

I can help you with the food change over - YOU want to do it slowly:

Do a 50 / 50 mix for 3 weeks of the old junk food and the new food.....this helps as to not shock her system and cause LOOSE poops...

After 3 weeks you can go 100% of the new food.  GOOD food and Good vitamins will KEEP your vet Away..

As for oil - a great one is PURE salmon oil at any pet store/  But, must be pure salmon oil only - less than 10.00 for a 10 oz bottle - YOU only need 1-2 teaspoons per day mixed onto the food.

Most doggies are on 1 wafer per day ( long term) and it costs about .60 cents per day.

Here is the ordering link for NuVET - I would like to see you get a 90 count and go on auto ship -  If you go onto autoship you will get 15% off each order.
Make sure you use my Name and VET code to order  -
