Hi Marie! I've been sending you questions recently about my bully,Ozzy.I purchased Nu-Vet,without too much success so far,and I changed his food from Nature's Recipe to California Natural Lamb and Rice.I'm still holding out hope for the Nu-Vet before my time expires for return,but how is my NEW choice in food for him?I'm not seeing a huge difference in his paw licking...

Hi Karen and Ozzy -  Did you purchase a probiotic also?  Did I mention that Ozzy will need some Acidophalus 1 billion CFUs?  Also, I would change his food from Calif Natural to Merrick Before Grain Ocean or Wellness Core Ocean.  They are grain free foods that are excellent for bullies with allergies.

So, continue the NuVET (1 1/2) or 2 per day-  the NuVEt can take 4-6 weeks to kick in because it is all Natural. * 95% of the time the NuVET will work....

Do the Probiotic - Acidophalus ( 1 per day for 30-40 days )

Slowing mix the Nature's Recipe and the NEW grain free food ( at a 50:50 mix) - and slowly work him off the old food and onto the NEW -  mix for about 3 weeks.

Also, add some Vitamin C (ESTER c) to his diet - (1) of a 500 mg per day for 2 months.
VERY safe - comes out in the urine...
VERY healing

Wipe his paws with an unscented baby wipe every time  he comes in from outside.
He may have a grass allergy.
( try to wipe at least 4 x per day -)
I know it will be hard to do all the wipes !


Give him a baking soda paw bath -  Fill the tub with 1/4 warm water and 1/8 of a cup of baking soda - let him soak in this 2 x per week for 5 minuites.
rinse well
