Bulldogs - Australian Bulldog
Expert: Maria Peppers / Bulldogs & NuVet Wafer Treats; - 11/1/2009
Question Hi Maria.
I am waiting for a few litters of Aussie Bulldogs due in a couple weeks. The litters are from reputable breeders who own all studs and bitches who are due.
I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Aussie Bulldog, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I have done a bit of research into the 'type', and realise that it is still at least another decade before it will be recognized as a breed.
I have a certain preferences in the type and color I am after, but it is almost impossible to predict how each pup will grow, because the breed is still in it's development stage. I have viewed many pics of Bulldogs,(before/after)to try and notice any similarities in how they look as pups, compared to them as adults.
My question now is,
From viewing a puppy from pics, is there any way of making an educated guess as to how much the dogs head will look more like a BBD, as opposed to the 'Boxer' type head?
Same question about their chest and stance,(wide or tall).
Thank you for your time.
Answer Hi - Well, I don't know anything about the Aussie bulldog. Sorry, I am going to look into this now that you have brought it to my attention. Also, I am not a breeder.
Sorry that I can't help!
Wish you luck......
