I have a 2 year old english bulldog. we have had him since he was 8 weeks old. We dont know what triggers it but about 4 months ago he gets into fights with a poodle mix we have. We have to have them separated at all times. If I allow them to be in a room together they might be okay for a minute or two but end up in an ugly fight, whether we give one or both attention. Sometimes we ignore them and it really doesnt make a difference.

If neither of your boys have been neutered, that would help the fighting.

It is hard to change that behavior once it is started.  Unless the above is true and you can neuter the dogs, you may have to just keep one of them.
