Question
Hi I’m in Australia I have a 11week old male British bulldog and I’m wondering on your option about what I’m feeding him I’ve got him on royal canin maxi(puppy food) for large dogs 26-44kg mature weight and also feed him about 4-6 chicken necks a week. I’ve been told that I should leave him on the large food but also have been told to put him on royal canin medium there are other brands that I have found here which are named - Advance, Iams, science diet, ukanuba (spell check hehehehe). I have some of your msg to others but some brands that you recommend are not available here well I have not found. Thanks for your help.

Answer
Max,

Any good quality puppy food will be fine, but I prefer the small breed variety for bulldogs.  Bulldogs tend to eat fast and the small kibble make it less likely that your puppy will choke on his food.

You should feed the recommended amount and add or subtract according to your puppy.  If he eats it all, give him a little more.  If he leaves some, you may be giving him too much.
