Question
I have a 6 yr old bulldog who until recently has been a pretty well behaved dog.He gets riled(sp) up if someone is at the door, barking growling, acting vicious. Recently he seems out of sorts, acting timid? ears backnervous... But he also has snapped at family members when they try to crate him if someone is at the door. This is out of the ordinary for him. He is neutered, and listens except for the "people at the door" problem.

Hi Mike, sorry but I am not sure on this.  He could have some pain or discomfort?  You can take him in for a little blood work and check up.  Have the vet test his thyroid.  Rule out medical and then you can deal with behavior problems.
As for the Behavior - this is territorial aggression/ this must be taken care of soon, or it will get worse.
Please see the vet first and then get a Behavior Person to make a few visits to your home. ( just a few sessions will help a bunch)
