QUESTION: Hi Maria,

I have an 8 month old French bulldog named Lola that has developed bumps all over her torso in the last couple of days.

I just switched her food from Organix Puppy formula http://www.castorpolluxpet.com/store/organix/organix_puppy_formula to Eukanuba Formula Dog Food Puppy Small Breed: http://www.petco.com/product/14570/Eukanuba-Formula-Dog-Food-Puppy-Small-Breed.a. So, I am thinking it could be a food allergy reaction? I also gave her Science Diet and Nutro small bites in the past and she didn’t seem to have any allergic reaction to them.

In addition, we give her on a daily basis one puppy vitamin and 5 tablets of brewers yeast. I also started to mix her dry food with one scoop of the Nutro puppies wet food (lamb and rice) like ten days ago because she doesn't like the dry food by itself too much and doesn’t want to eat.

I stopped the Eukanuba and fed her boiled brown rice and chicken that I cooked for her yesterday night (she loved it!) and it seems that the bumps are a little less noticeable this morning.

We bath her twice a month with an oatmeal and tea tree oil dog shampoo because after a week her body gives off a peculiar odor and her coat is constantly loosing hair and she’s been scratching her neck but I took her to the vet and she doesn’t have any fleas. I bath her on Sunday and I noticed that her skin was pink on parts of her body (ears, mouth, and underarms). My husband said that maybe the water was too hot for her and that dogs need cooler water than humans. Could that be the reason for the pink? She always had pink pigment on that areas but it was more noticeable after the bath.

We also just moved to a new apartment and she is getting used to the new surroundings and we noticed that she’s been chewing on things more than usual so maybe she also has stress because of the move?

I have a LOLA Frenchie that is my client - she has been on my program for a year now and doing GREAT!!!  She is in Pennsylvania with her mom and English Bullie Brother...

NOW for your baby:
Follow my plan and she will be much better in 30 days or less.

First off: she can now be placed on an Adult dog food: LOOK for Innova EVO or Wellness CORE at your local pet store:  This is GRAIN free food/ Excellent... Also, you can get the Innova WET PUPPY food to mix in the Dry - Or you can get the Wellness PUPPY ( WET) food.
REMEMBER, the dry food is ADULT food... OK
If you can't find the ones I mentioned, let me know.
Also, Do the change over slowly over 2 weeks... YOU can mix the chicken / and rice *home made mix* with the New Dry dog food for a few weeks...AFTER 10-14 days Go 100% the NEW food.

NEXT, Please add the following supplements:  Stop the puppy vitamin and stop the 5 Brewers yeast:  Don't continue them at all... OK

Flora Force ( Probiotic) from Natures' Sunshine:  This will get rid of the red/pink spots ? YEAST and all the itching... Please give 1 per day for at least 90 days.  After that, LOLA will need 1 every OTHER day for a few months.  VERY safe and Natural:
