Question
i have a 3 month old english bulldog and we are thinking of cutting its tail which is about 3 to 4 inches long and straight ,we  see all others with very short tails should we or just leave it as is . thanks

Answer
Alex,

No, no, no.  Don't have your bulldog's tail cut off.  It is perfectly normal for a bulldog to have a tail.

It is not normal for them to be docked or cut off.  AKC standards do not allow docked tails on bulldogs, although I know some breeders do it.

Let me say again, even though some breeders do it, it is not allowed for AKC standards or showing.  And it is absolutely not necessary.

Check out the AKC website for bulldog standards!!!

Your bulldog is special the way he is!!!
