Question
I have a bulldog that is mixed English/American.  He is white.  His skin color under his fur use to look pink, but
lately it is looking rust colored.  What can cause this?

Answer
Ramona,

It is normal for the skin color on a white dog to get darker as they age.

If there is no itching or smell to his skin, then I would think this is just normal color change.

If you notice a strong smell, loss of hair, or itching, you should have your vet do a skin scrape.
