I have six american bulldog puppies, three weeks old, both parents have black noses and all the dogs in there bloodline have black noses. why do my puppys have pink noses. is this acceptable. also while the female was in heat we dogsitted a red nose pit. allthough i only observed my male A.B. breeding with my female could it be the the pit is the father. All the puppies have the fathers big head dewlaps and big stocky frame were as the pit was lean. One puppy is a grey black brindle, there are three all white puppies and then two with brown tan and black splotches. All consistent with the bloodlines other litters. (except the brindle)

It is completely normal for bulldog puppies to be born with pick noses and as they get older they will gradually turn black.

I don't know about the pit bull.  I would think you would have noticed them breeding and if not he is probably not the sire.

I do not think the pit bull is the father because of the color of the noses.
