Hi there, I had a question about odor problems in English bulldogs. I have an 8 year old female English bulldog that we have recently adopted from a bulldog rescue. She is a wonderful dog but she has a horrible odor problem. We have tried so many things. She gets a bath once a week and it seems like an hour after her bath the odor returns. We have tried sprays and daily cleaning. I was wondering if you could help. She is inside all the time and we find this odor on just about anything.

I would take her to the vet and have them do a skin scrape.  That should be able to tell why she has a bad oder.

She could have a type of mange.  Maybe she was treated for it when she was younger and so it is under control.

The vet should be able to give you a treatment specific for what is going on.
