Question
I am at a complete loss.  I have a 1 yr old EBD that in the last month, ONLY AT NIGHT licks the air for hours on end.  I have searched every where, spoke to our vet who see's EBD often and tried to distract him while this is going on.  Nothing seems to be working, any help would be great.

Hello Bobby, this sounds like obsessive compulsive behavior and can be related to environmental allergies.
If you would like to try a few supplements?  
Here are my suggestions:

1.  A good probiotic will be helpful - give (1) of a 1 billion CFUs of Acidophalus each day - hide in some WET food or cheese.
Give this for 30 days....VERY safe and natural
Helps with food and environmental allergies

2.  NuVET Plus - give 1 1/2 wafers per day for 10 days and then go to just 1 NuVET wafer long term.....GREAT for Allergies and GENERAL doggie health.  ( call 1-800-474-7044 ) Tell them Pet Nurse Marie sent you and use order code 81098***

3.  Give some Melatonin - 3 mg (1 hour ) before bedtime
3mg is a good dosage for a dog of your size.
Melatonin is very safe to give each night, if needed.
