QUESTION: Hi,

My girlfriend and I adopted a bulldog puppy yesterday. He is a bout 11 weeks
old and we are already having a housetraining issue. He doesn't seem to
eliminate until hours after he has eaten. The breeder told us that he would
eliminate right after eating and most of the literature I've read indicates the
same thing. Do you have any advice for us?

ANSWER: Hi Jimmy - Ok - add a teaspoon of pure canned pumpking to his meals - ( the no sugar added kind) - that will do the trick!

QUESTION: Thank you. We will try that. He is eating Eukanuba formulated for puppy growth
right now, that is what the breeder was feeding him and I am hesitant to take
him off of it right away, plus from what I understand Eukanuba is a good brand.

Hi again - the Eukanuba is a fair food - NOT one of the ones that I like... Too many corns and rice fillers in this brand;
AS time goes by - I would change your baby over to a better brand:
Do it slowly mixing the Eukanuba with a new food over a 30 day period of time - slow change over.
The ones I love are:
Innova PUP
Wellness PUP
Chicken Soup for the Pup lover's soul
Merrick pup
There are many others - just look for quality ingredients and
no corn, in the first 5 ingredients.
