QUESTION: The cath is I.V. and she is not needing oxygen at this point.

ANSWER: Sorry about your Olive the bullie...
You can get another opinion but you would need to transfer from one vet ER to another and that will cost you many $$$.

Please get more info for me:
Drugs?
Fluids?
Is she eating by mouth or just I.V.

I need much more info to help...

Sorry

QUESTION: No food or fluids other than what he's giving her through the I.V.
This is actually my brothers dog that we're talking about. My bro doesn't have email so we used mine. I think he is mainly worried that she might pass tonight, and no one is there to keep an eye on her if something were to happen. When he went to the vet today, she was nearly dead. The vet said Olive threw up and some of the throw up went into her lungs.  Vet is going to test her tomorrow for valley fever. They are pumping her with antibiotics but for tonight, no one will be there to monitor her, again, so we are concerned about that. Does this help at all?

Answer
Ok, Yes, that helps me more.
As you know, it doesn't sound good at all.  I know all about Valley Fever as I had lived in Tucson AZ for 5 years.  This just sounds like an adverse reaction from the surgery.

After your brother's dog came OUT of the anesthesia she Aspirated some vomit and got pneumonia ( aspiration pneumonia)....
Not much we can do for her at this point.  If she is strong and strong willed she may pull through with the massive amount of I.V. antibiotics.

SEE here:

This breed commonly suffers from complications while under anesthesia because of their unusual airways -- you will want to address this concern with your veterinarian should your Bulldog require any surgeries.

I sure hope Olive pull through this sickness!
