QUESTION: Hi,
my boyfriend and i have a 4 year old british bulldog named Buddha and my boyfriend mentioned the other day that he is becoming too chubby and will get knee problems if gains weight.
his weight is about 30KG (66 pounds). that that ok weight for him or is he becoming overweight?
Pls advise as we cannot imagin life without him and want him to live a very long healthy life.

ANSWER: Hello Pariza, the weight of many male English bullies is between 55 and 75 lbs.
Just make sure you are using a good quality food with little fillers.
Make sure Corn is  not one of the first 5 ingredients.

I checked the food ingredients and corn is not one of them. why is corn bad for them?
Also the brand Buddha is having is pedagree.

ANSWER: Hi - Well, corn is very hard to digest and adds Weight gain.
So, no corn if you can!

QUESTION: In what possible way can we try to make sure our Buddah lives the longest and what is the avarage age that a bull dog like buddha would live for.? we would really want him to be around for the max time so if we can make any changes to his diet or anything pls let us know.

Well, in your country you are limited to what you can buy for your dog.
Can you find a good dog vitamin ????  I would be glad to look at the indredients for you.
I don't know what is in Africa....

Average life span is 10-14 years of age.... ALL depends on genetics of your bullies parents and the good food you feed
