Question
I have a 7 year old fem bulldog that I rescued about 4 mos ago.  She is blind and the previous owner did not fix her.  I want to get her fixed but would like to know if there are any precautions with anesthesia that I need to be aware of?

Answer
Karla,

Any time anesthesia is used, there is a risk, but the risk is small.  You just have to decide if the risk out-weighs the surgery.

I am not aware of any precautions you can take.  If your bulldog is healthy and not having breathing problems, she should be fine.
