| Comment | Marie- Thanks for the support and thoughts. I called the vet this morning, but he cannot get to see her until Friday. The swelling had gone down this morning, and her temperature is still stable, so she isn't considered an emergency case. She is still gimping around, but I caught her earlier running in the backyard with one of our other dogs when I let them out together. As soon as she saw me watching she stopped running and started gimping around again. Same thing happened tonight, I let her out with one of our other dogs, hoping the companionship would help pick up her spirit. They were playing in the snow, while I watched out the window. She was gimping a tad bit, but nothing too serious. In the mean time, the vet did not want me to give any medications, just try and get her to flip sides as often as possible, use some moist heat compresses, and try to give her some doggie massages. If she starts swelling bad, or gets hot to the touch, I am to bring her in ASAP. So, still no answers, but the vet seems to agree that likely it is a pressure point, or her leg falling asleep. It doesn't seem to be hurting her too much, just discomfort. Also, one of my holistic dog food reps brought me some NuVet a couple of days ago to try and see what she thinks, I have yet to offer any to her. | ||
