Question
I have a 7mth A.B and yesterday she broke out in hives, could it be
serious? She has no other symptoms.

Most Vet offices will tell you to treat with Benadryl - As long as the dog is not having any swelling at the neck.  In other words, no breathing problems.
Here is the dosage the Douglas Vet refer to:
1-2 mg per pound every 8-10  hrs....  ( short term only)...
Example - a 40 pound dog can have 40 to 80 mg of Benadryl.

YOU may want to call your local Vet for more help.

This can happen with environmental allergies...  
It may only last a day or two.  When in doubt, call your Vet.
