My 5 mo old american bulldog puppy is on her second mitaban dip for red mange (dx'd w/ a skin scraping - localized - but spread over her entire forehead and getting worse).  I ignored it first.  My first bully yrs ago (biologically unrelated) got over the little spots on his own.  Then she was spayed (stress)...spot got much bigger and spread faster...then tried nustock for 2 wks religiously after vet dx'd w/ skin scraping.  Finally gave in to mitaban dip.  She had her second dip on Tues (8/31).  It looked better after first dip, but now looks horrible, and it looks like a small boil busted on her forehead tonight.  Is it okay to put bactine, or an antibiotic cream, on the open sore to prevent infection?  Also, are there any supplements you would recommend in conjunction with the dips to help boost her immune system?  Thanks

Hi Jana, POOR little bulldog puppy...  Yes, put some neosporin on the open area that you just notice.  I would do this a few times per day.  Call your Vet on Tuesday for more instructions.
The cure for Red Mange is very Harsh!  You are right for wanting to give this pup something for the Immune system.  Good for you.

As far as your BULLIE with Mange - I would place this kid on NuVET wafers - IT will help to boost the immune system that is being hurt by the poison dips... Mitaban dips work but it does WEAKEN the immune system of your baby....
